Welcome to Nine in the Afternoon, a site chockful of random recipes I have concocted. I'm not your average cook-nope, I pretty much put things together and see if they taste good or not xD No worries, I put all of my successful recipes up on this site, not the err...unsuccessful ones. Of course it's up to you if you like my recipes or not, because while I can create some pretty tasty meals, not everyone agrees with my taste buds xD So, go ahead and give some of these a try and maybe you can even create something totally unique!
about me
As you may know already, my name is Ayra. My real name is Alyssa _________. I live in south-western Massachusetts with my parents and two other siblings. I am going to turn sixteen in June and I am a sophomore in high school. I have no extraordinary talents at school, so my grades are not as good as they could be nor do I play any sports. I attend GSA(Gay Straight Alliance) after school on Thursdays, but otherwise I stay home and go on the computer, write, draw, listen to music, sing, dance, head bang, and go blah on everyone. I pretty much live the simple life and I try to have an upbeat attitude at all times, even if I'm not in a good mood. I love to read and write, which means I also love to roleplay on Neopets =D And because I go on Neopets, I learned how to code and create websites, which is also another hobby of mine. I do love to go horseback riding, but I can never seem to afford to do it =( The one time I did, I was in my happy place xD
Aside from web design and writing, I love being with my family and being the secret-keeper to my family and friends. For some reason, people fancy coming to me and telling their deepest and darkest secrets. Not that it's a bad thing, but it really stresses me out sometimes xD I guess I'm a pretty trustworthy person.
Most people know me as the 'emo' or 'gothic' girl because I love to wear black and buy a good amount of clothes from Hot Topic. No clue what that has to do with anything, but seriously, enough with the stereotypes already! It would be like me saying a girl is preppy if she shops at Aeropostale or something. Not to mention the stereotype for Wiccans...GAH! *slams head against wall* It's really funny, because every time I pass this really religious Catholic girl, she holds the cross up to me and and starts muttering these prayers. She thinks I'll take out a voodoo doll and make her jump off a cliff. *laughs* Why would I need a voodoo doll for that? xD But besides her, only a few others totally avoid me because I am Wiccan and I could really care less. And I would never ever ever harm anyone because one of the rules of Wicca is to 'harm none'. Otherwise it'll come back three times worse. So yeah, the most I'll ever do to a person is yell at them and walk away.
I happen to space out a lot, for reasons unknown by myself and others. It often affects how I work in class, but I think it's important that I get 'lost' in my own thoughts because I can solve problems easier and make better decisions. Most people think I am 'bothered'-hate to break it to ya', but the only thing I am 'bothered' about are people who think I am 'bothered'. xD I also go through Déjà vu a lot and while it bothers me, I also find it quite fascinating. I mean, who wouldn't be? But aside from my weird abilities and totally unique personality, I'm your average teenager =)
